Do i really need to have https(ssl layer) on my website?

नमस्कार दोस्तों आज हम आपको SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) के बारे में बताएँगे | दोस्तों आप से निवेदन है की हमारे इस पोस्ट को पूरा पढ़ें अन्यथा आपको आर्थिक हानि पहुँच सकती है | दोस्तों आज के इस पोस्ट मे हम आपको https मे लगे S के बारे मे पूरी जानकारी देंगे जिसे SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) कहा जाता है और आपको यह भी बताएँगे की यदि आप किसी Website के मालिक हैं तो आपको इसका इस्तेमाल क्यों करना चाहिए और कैसे करना चाहिए | यह सब जानने के लिए आपको बस हमारे इस पोस्ट को पूरा पढना होगा | चलिए पहले आपको https के आगे लगे S के बारे मे बता देते हैं की यह S होता क्या है और किस काम आता है |

दोस्तों HTTPS के end मे लगे S का मतलब SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) से होता है और यह एक Encryption Protocol है जो Basically ज्यादातर Websites मे इस्तेमाल होता है क्योंकि इसमें जो Connection बनता है किसी Web Browser और Web Server के बीच वो पूरी तरीके से Secured और Encrypted होता है | जो SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) होता है वो Web Server और Client के बीच Transmit होने वाले Data को Encrypt कर देता है जिसकी वजह से कोई Third Party या कोई Hacker उसे Hack नहीं कर पाता | इस Transmit होने वाले Data को सिर्फ Web Server और Client ही Recognize(Decrypt) कर पाता है | आपने देखा होगा की जब भी आप किसी E-Commerce, Facebook, Online Banking या ऐसी ही किसी Website को Open करते हैं तो आपको http के आगे S लगा दिखता होगा और ये जो S उन Websites मे लगा होता है उसका मतलब यह होता है की उस Website मे SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate है मतलब की वो Website Secure है, सुरक्षित है |

Basically SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate का मतलब एक ऐसा प्रमाण पत्र होता है जो की कोई Website Owner अपनी Website के लिए लेता है और इस Certificate की मदद से ही किसी Website पर लोगों का विश्वास बना रहता है क्योंकि जो Companies ये Certificate Provide कराती है और जिन Websites मे इन Certificate का इस्तेमाल होता है उन मे Client और Web Server के बीच Transmit होने वाला Data Encrypted Form मे होता है और कोई Hacker उसे Hack नहीं कर पाता |  इन मे से कुछ Website इस प्रकार है - Facebook, Twitter, Online Banking Websites आदि |

SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate को बहुत सी बड़ी Web Hosting Companies Provide कराती है जिनमे से कुछ के नाम इस प्रकार हैं - GoDaddy, BigRock, Verisign, Comodo आदि | जब भी हम अपनी Website के लिए किसी Hosting Server को खरीदते हैं तो हमे वो Hosting कंपनी भी SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate Provide कराती है लेकिन इसके लिए हमे उस कंपनी को थोड़ी ज्यादा रकम चुकानी पड़ती है क्योंकि SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate का दाम हर Hosting कंपनी मे अलग अलग होता है | यदि आप किसी ऐसी Website के मालिक हैं जिसमे आप लोगों को Online Shopping या Online Banking जैसी सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराते हैं या फिर ऐसी कोई भी Service Provide कराते हैं जिसमे की लोगों को अपनी Personal Information को Enter करना पड़े तो आपके लिए और आपकी website के लिए SSL Certificate का होना बहुत ज़रूरी हो जाता है क्योंकि आजकल इससे ही लोगों का Trust आप पर और आपकी उस Website पर बना रहता है जिसमे आपने SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Service या SSL(Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate लिया है |

Examples of http and https websites

To check a site's security, to the left of the web address, look at the security status

To see the site's details and permissions, click the icon. At the top of the panel, you'll see a summary of how private Chrome thinks the connection is.

1. Secure - Information you send or get through the site is private.

2. info or Not Secure - The site isn't using a private connection. Someone might be able to see or change the information you send or get through this site.

You might see a "Login not secure" or "Payment not secure" message. We suggest that you don't enter sensitive details, like passwords or credit cards.

On some sites, you can visit a more secure version of the page:

Select the address bar.

Delete http://, and enter https:// instead.

If that doesn't work, contact the site owner to ask that they secure the site and your data with HTTPS.

3. Not Secure or Dangerous - We suggest you don't enter any private or personal information on this page. If possible, don't use the site.

Not secure: Proceed with caution. Something is severely wrong with the privacy of this site’s connection. Someone might be able to see the information you send or get through this site.

You might see a "Login not secure" or "Payment not secure" message.

Dangerous: Avoid this site. If you see a full-page red warning screen, the site has been flagged as unsafe by Safe Browsing. Using the site will likely put your private information at risk.
